Pastor - Covenant Theological Seminary : Job Details

Full-time pastor needed for a reformed Baptist Church in Silver City, NM. We hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith, Covenant Theology, and the fundamental doctrines of the Reformation (the 5 Solas). We are an elder-ruled church and are seeking a pastor who will faithfully preach God's word. We hold to expository preaching. We have recently moved into a new facility and are looking forward to expanding our ministry in our community.

Salary: $30K-$59K

Requirements

We would like a young Charles Spurgeon. A bachelor's degree and demonstrated competence is desired.

Jimmy D. Oliver is a teaching elder who is preaching while we're searching for a full-time pastor. Our previous pastor (Michael Walker) increased his family by a set of twins (giving him five wonderful children) and he returned to Lubbock, TX to be closer to family. Prior to Pastor Walker our pastor of 20+years (Rod Chandler) died. Regular attendance of services is 40 to 50 souls on Sunday.
