Job Summary• The Supervisor Pathologist Assistant oversees operations in critical areas of theanatomic pathology including specimen receipt, gross room, autopsy, andbiobanking activities. Oversees and participates in all aspects of the workincluding frozen sections, grossing, autopsies and leads teaching of pathologyresidents and students (e.g. pathologist assistants, medical school). Leads andparticipates in quality improvement projects, maintains QC and QA data, andensures accreditation readiness (e.g. CAP, TJC). They assist residents andpathologist in processing, dissection and description of gross anatomic findingsof submitted specimens in accordance with established procedures.Education• Bachelors Degree: Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or LifeSciences with 26 science credits with appropriate experience in a CLIAlaboratory.
