We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.Position Summary:Summary:Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and registration of individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.Responsibilities:* Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.* Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into the computer database.* Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments.* Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with individuals at all levels.* Excellent customer service skills are required.* Treats patients/families professionally, with respect and dignity* Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.* Performs other related duties as assigned.The above statements reflect the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work assignments that may be inherent in the job.Qualifications:* Education: High School graduate or equivalent.* Experience: Previous experience with medical terminology
