Base Pay Range:$17.62 - $26.43Job Description:The Supplemental Patient Access Registrar will fill in for vacation and sick calls at Holy Family Imaging Center. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS!!Summary: Greets and welcomes all patients and visitors presenting a friendly, courteous, and professional image. Checks in patients with ordered exam, checks for previous related studies, collects patient payments, answers phones, and ensures a smooth patient flow.Essential Duties / Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •Provides high level of customer service by:o Greets and welcomes all patients and visitorso Ensures all patients are registered and arrived o Patients requiring assistance are provided assistance as neededo Keeps a clean work area to represent the professional image of Inland Imagingo Patient Registration - collects all demographic and billing data, and checks insurance eligibility o Works on locating patient's insurance info if they do not have it with themo Prints out payment estimator form, answer any patient questions and ask if the patient would like to make a paymento Processes patient payments utilizing Zirmed payment systemo Schedules walk-in patient exams•Prepares paperwork for patient exams in advance, including add-ons, and provides the paperwork to the appropriate modality•Links orders to patient exams•Utilizes PayNav to check patient insurance eligibility - front desk and prior eligibility process•Checks in interpreter through universal language service •Identifies patient orders in the Clerical Worklist •Calls referring offices to obtain orders not found•Works with all departments to ensure smooth patient flow and care •Answers phones and assists callers•Generates reports as requested by referring provider offices •Burns patient exams and reports onto CD's to be given to patients and referring provider offices•Loads discs that have been requested for previous and resolve exceptions•Pushes images from Isite to other medical facilities•Documents scanning and resolving of paperwork to patient accounts•Pacscans reports to patient timeline for previous•This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.•This position is required to work occasional holidays•Performs other duties as assignedHoly Family Clerical Specialist: In addition to the above responsibilities, the Holy Family Clerical Specialist will perform the following job requirements:o Schedules Inpatient and ER exams utilizing EPIC o Processes downtime scheduling for IP/ER examso Understands tube system and nurse alert phoneo Understands and is prepared for hospital inspections and the different hospital drillso Understands how the different departments in the hospital respond to different issues with the imaging centero Understands the creatinine processo Backs up the company telephone operators, and understands where to transfer calls o Screens and transfers phone calls appropriately o Coordinates with admitting on special procedures to obtain stickerso Covers positions for mandatory holiday rotationso Cross-trains with the different patient access positionso Assists hospital medical records department when requesting reports or recordso Types consent forms for all interventional procedureso Calls in on-call techs for after-hours examso Assists and works with volunteers at front entrance volunteer desko Tracks down wheelchairs throughout the hospital when they disappear•This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.•Performs other projects and duties as assignedGeneral Duties/Responsibilities:•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality within the Inland Imaging companies and Inland's customers.•Follows all Health and Safety policies and guidelines of Inland Imaging or its partners depending on work location.•Follows all company policies including those regarding harassment, non-retaliation, discrimination, respectful workplace, and related policies.•Follows all policies regarding HIPAA, non-disclosure of confidential information and company security.•Honest, pleasant manner and good personal hygiene.•Free of alcohol and drug abuse.•Valid state driver's license and proof of insurance.•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.•Detail oriented; Demonstrates the Inland Imaging Core Values •Show We Care, Do The Right Thing, Maximize Individual Potential, Always Aim HigherQualifications: •Education: High School Diploma/GED required•Experience: One year of clerical experience desiredo Communication and interpersonal skills o Anatomy and medical terminology - preferred o Medical office experience preferredo Understanding of all procedures to be read by radiologist - preferred •Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Workday; PACS ; Medicalis; PayNav; Zirmed; EPIC; Internet/Intranet•Background Check: o Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adultso In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG).
