POSITION SUMMARY This position reports to the Patient Access Supervisor and is responsible for all functions related to the check-in process of patients and is cross-trained in Main registration, Emergency Department registration, and Outpatient areas. Duties include but are not limited to: # Greeting#patients professionally, registering patients by gathering and entering patient information into the hospital computer system, validating#and verifying#medical insurance plans, ensuring#patients fill out all necessary registration forms, filing#patient records, directing patients to where their appointments are. Work collaboratively with internal and external departments to ensure all information is entered as needed, accurately and in a timely manner. QUALIFICATION EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS: # Registration or office experience is desirable, preferably in a hospital environment. Friendly, positive, helpful disposition. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a busy environment. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
