Prairie Lakes Healthcare System is an independent, non-profit rural healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota.Job SummaryThis is a PRN (as needed) position required to work overnight shifts every other weekend and every other holiday.This position collects and verifies all patient demographical and financial information while adhering to ethical and legal standards and recognizing and responding to emergencies while demonstrating professional characteristics.Wage range: $16.25-$24.76Responsibilities include:Works pre-admission report daily to pre-register ancillary account.Answers incoming telephone calls on the switchboard, determines purpose of call, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.Updates hospital on-call schedule daily.Verifies and generates daily patient room charges.Coordinates all alarm monitors and code calls which include summoning appropriate response teams.Greets and provides information to patients and visitors.Answers patient and visitor questions and directs them to desired destination.Receives payments on account and reconciles cash drawer.Other duties may be assigned.BenefitsPrairie Lakes Healthcare System offers comprehensive benefits for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
