Position: HIM Technician

Location: On-Site Kalamazoo, MI

Duration: 8 Week Contract

Start Date: ASAP

Job Description: The HIM Technician performs clerical/technical duties associated with medical records processes and procedures. This could include the retrieval, preparation, scanning, imagining, filing, quality review and indexing of paper documents. The HIM Technician is skilled with operating equipment and with the detailed technical aspects of their assigned duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Specific Areas of Responsibility include:

Scanning/Imaging

DNFB/DNFC Assistance

Retrieval of documents

Reconciliation of accounts

Registry Maintenance (non-patient facing i.e. death, trauma, etc.)

Indexing

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
