PATIENT ACCESS SPECIALIST I - Conway Medical Center : Job Details

Position Summary: The Patient Access Specialist I (PAS I) will check-in patient upon arrival, identify correct patient information in Hospital Systems, verify patient demographic data, and edit as needed. The PAS I will accurately identify the appropriate account for patient visit and will present and educate patients on required forms and obtain signature as required by policy and procedure. The PAS I will complete all check-in files and manage all appropriate processes specific to the patient and their visit. The PAS I will collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due. The PAS I must be willing to report back to work during any emergency situation, this includes if needed during inclement weather, mass casualty, internal disaster, etc. The PAS I will complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications*Assessment of overall credit worthiness by review of a consumer credit report is required.*Education:

• High School Diploma required.

Experience:

• One year experience working with health insurance preferred.
• One year experience in patient registration in a medical environment preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Medical Terminology certification preferred.
