Job Objective/Summary: The Patient Access Supervisor directs all aspects of patient access functions including: scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification/eligibility, and registration. Monitors the daily activities of Admission personnel. Quality controls the work product. Assists with establishing departmental policies. Ensures compliance with all departmental policies. Trains new employees. Monitors payroll for accuracy and timely completion, assists with preparation of bi-weekly payroll report. Ensures adequate staffing, working additional hours as necessary.Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience: High School degree or equivalent is required, with previous experience in a healthcare-related field, preferably admissions and/or billing processes. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Admission/PAT/Scheduling departments. Serves as a resource in registration procedures. Must have experience with computers, calculators, CRTs, and printers. Typing experience required.
