Ideal candidates are patient focused, mission driven caregivers looking for an opportunity to apply knowledge in a fast-paced environment.Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct and non-direct patient care according to their scope of practice. Act as a versatile member of the care team, providing clinical support and a comforting presence to help achieve patients highest level of wellness. Assigned preceptor duties as needed.Position Specifics:
  • Department: Medical/Surgical Unit 1. Floor recently got new vital machines that flow into Epic. Mid-size hospital, but small feel. Supportive team in place with a lot of opportunity to have your voice heard
  • Schedule: Full-Time Nights (36 hours/week 7:00pm-7:00am) with every other weekend rotation
  • Facility: St. Anthony's Hospital
  • Location: Effingham, IL
  • Compensation that aligns with experience. Shift differentials for night and weekend on top of base rate!
Education Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience Qualifications:
  • 1 year Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) experience; or 6 months Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician experience and certification as indicated below.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of practice is required with 6 months experience as noted above. Certification is not required for those greater than one year experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days upon hire.
