Job Overview
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit in our Spokane facility, which specializes in Orthopedics.
Schedule: Full-time (in-person)
Holidays: 9 observed holidays per year
Compensation range: Pay range for this position is $16.43-$24.64/hr. The hired applicant's placement within the range is based on qualifications, professional experience and education.
Responsibilities
The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned. Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families. Assists with the planning and provision of structured, age appropriate activities for patients under the guidance or direction of a Child Life Therapist. Monitors children's activities and maintains a safe physical and psychosocial environment for children.
