Recognizing and valuing exceptional talent, we're eager to discuss the exciting details of this bonus during our interview process.**Summary***Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN), the PCA as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team assists in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. Qualifications *Qualifications and Experience****** ***Education/Degree******Required: ***· High school diploma, GED or equivalent required unless candidate holds a nursing assistant certification. *Experience/Certification***** Required: · Recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care. Preferred: * Enrollment in a Nursing, Pre-Med, or Physician Assistant (PA) undergraduate program, with a minimum of one semester of completed patient care rotations at the time of hire. OR* Possession of a valid license, certification, or enrollment as a student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT-accredited program at the time of hire.**For Spaulding Nursing & Therapy Center, Brighton, certification as a Nursing Assistant at time of hire or completion of a nursing assistant training program and certified within 120 days of employment and must remain active thereafter. Nursing students currently enrolled in a formal nursing program who have successfully completed at least one clinical rotation can remain employed for 120 days or longer if become certified.****Skills *(Specific learned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding, presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)Required:· Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language.· Must demonstrate basic skills in math and computer science.· Must demonstrate the ability to perform, modify, and record all physical therapy skills with relevance to appropriate thoroughness and sequencing.· Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.· Knowledge of DPH/OEMS regulations.Preferred:· Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.* Work independently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.**** Anticipates challenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.· High level of service delivery.
