Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingAllied ProfessionPatient Care Technicians SpecialtyPatient Care Associate Job ID29838410 Job TitlePatient Care Associate - Contract Weekly Pay$795.97 Shift Details ShiftDay - 8x5 - 08AM Scheduled Hours40 Job Order Details Start Date01/27/2025 End Date03/29/2025 Duration9 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Patient Care Associate Job Specialty: Contract Job Duration: 9 months Shift: Evening Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:15 PM, 5 days a week, including every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 37.50 hours per week Experience: Preferred three to nine months of healthcare experience License: Not specified Certifications: AHA HeartSaver or BLS Required Must-Have: Successful completion of Patient Care Associate Orientation Program Job Description: - Support the clinical care team as a Patient Care Associate, assisting in patient care and support activities.- Perform and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.- Document intake and output along with other assigned data.- Conduct clinical procedures, including specimen collection, venipuncture, EKG, application of compression devices, and post-mortem care.- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as feeding, bathing, mouth care, and toileting.- Set up for procedures and assist registered nurses (RNs) accordingly.- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment and ensure patient comfort and mobility.- Assist with dietary functions including delivering and collecting patient trays and assisting with menu completion.- Perform one-to-one observation of patients for safety, elopement risk, or suicide prevention under RN direction.- Engage in purposeful rounding on patients focusing on needs such as toileting, comfort, positioning, and pain awareness.- Respond to diverse patient backgrounds and promote an environment sensitive to cultural diversity.- Perform shared duties across clinical specialties including greeting visitors, answering telephones, and providing information.- Transport patients as needed and maintain supplies and equipment.- Required to float across all Emergency Department units.Join our team and provide essential patient care while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team in a dynamic clinical environment.
