Job Summary

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Care Associate where you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to non-acutely ill patients. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in delivering basic nursing care, promoting patient comfort, and ensuring a safe and clean environment.

Core Job Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in the provision of basic nursing care, which includes personal hygiene, daily living activities, and mobility support.
• Help maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Accurately identify patients prior to delivering care and interventions.
• Communicate any changes or concerns about patients to the primary caregiver promptly.
• Observe, collect, document, and report vital signs, intake and output, and patient weights.
• Provide supportive care activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, bed making, ambulation, positioning, and toileting.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the nursing staff and enhance patient care.

Education/Experience Requirements

• PREFERRED: High School graduate or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:

• Completion of Basic Life Support and behavior management training during the probationary period, with maintenance of certification while in the position.
