Job Title: Patient Care Associate (PCA) - Mental Health SupportDuties:
- Assist with patient orientation to the unit and initial care planning during admission.
- Provide personal care services, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility support.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection.
- Co-lead recreational and therapeutic group activities.
- Support patients in preparing for discharge, ensuring family and community resources are engaged.
- Respond to and manage patient crises, including restraint and seclusion procedures.
- Maintain infection control standards across all care activities.
Skills Required:
- Background in mental health, nursing, or law enforcement.
- Ability to perform venipuncture and EKGs.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree in mental health or counseling.
- Certifications in BLS and CPI/PMCS required.
