Hiring a Medical Scheduler in Poughkeepsie, NYJob DescriptionThe Medical Scheduler assesses a large volume of phone calls and requests both clinical and non-clinical in nature while providing superior customer service and maintaining a one-call resolution standard.Responsibilities+ Assess ahigh volume of incoming calls and requests.+ Schedule appointments including physicals, office visits, consults, hospital follow-ups, and CDL exams for 100+ multi-specialty physicians and other medical professionals.+ Utilize all resources available to efficiently and effectively assist all callers.+ Transfer/warm-transfer calls to other departments and/or staff members when appropriate.+ Gather all pertinent information for requests and relay messages to clinical staff members accordingly.+ Handle emergencies according to specified procedures.+ Use NextGen medical software and Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis.Essential Skills+ Call center experience+ Customer service experience within a call center or as a healthcare receptionist+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel+ Healthcare experience, preferably in a call center, medical records, or customer service+ Experience with outbound calls and scheduling appointments+ Ability to handle multi-line phone systemsWork EnvironmentLocated in Poughkeepsie, the work schedule is Monday-Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PMPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
