Patient Care Expediter - Rutland Regional Medical Center : Job Details

Works in cooperation with nursing staff and under the direction of the emergency physicians providing timely, efficient and effective acute care of patients utilizing a team model. Performs care including assessments, treatments and medication administration to emergency department patients utilizing skills based on the National Scope of Practice for Paramedics. Minimum Education

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of accredited paramedic education program.

Minimum Work Experience

• 3 years as a pre-hospital care provider required, experience as a Critical Care Paramedic preferred.
• Experience with immobilization and stabilization procedures a plus.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Basic airway skills.
• Immobilization skills.
• IV therapy skills.
• Oxygen and ventilation administration skills.
• Bleeding control and shock management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately.
• Ability to move or lift patients and equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in providing critical care, knowledge, and skills.
• Demonstrated moderate knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.

Pay Range: $22.39 - $33.09COMPETITIVE DIFFERENTIALS RATES

• $4.25 - Evenings
• $8.00 - Nights
• $4.75 - Weekends
