Overview Under direct supervision, provides patient care activities and performs related support functions.Posting internally from July 24, 2024 - August 2, 2024 Responsibilities Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors, and other employees.Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department, including data collection and adherence to safety policies.Utilizes the principles of leadership established by the AONE and ANA, ensuring customer service and patient focus.Clinical Responsibilities: Manages the flow of patients for assigned providers and monitors their progress.Prepares patients for examination and assists providers during examinations.Accurately performs and records vital signs.Performs phlebotomy and other diagnostic tests.Transports patients and materials as needed.Reports changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse.Maintains work areas and assists with inventory of supplies. Demonstrates accountability and complies with safety and emergency preparedness plans.Complies with patient rights standards and maintains confidentiality.Attends mandatory educational sessions and complies with hospital required competencies. Qualifications Two to three (2-3) years experience in an acute, chronic, or ambulatory care setting.Completed Patient Care Technician Course.BLS Certification.Certification of PCT (Phlebotomy / EKG) completion.High School diploma or GED.Computer Knowledge. #J-18808-Ljbffr
