St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician to work out of our Tarpon Springs location.

About the Position
Our ideal candidate is comfortable providing clinical skills to each patient, creating a safe and effective environment as well as promoting health and well-being. The patient care tech has procedural skills within the scope of practice and is able to document the patient's experience.
What do we look for?
* Ability to provide basic support to PA-C/APRN and other clinical personnel with regard to the care and treatment of patients
* Obtain and interpret vital signs, including blood sugar levels
* Administrative functions, including maintenance and order of medical supply inventory and clerical/data entry assistance
* Communicate with other physicians' offices to obtain medical/cardiac clearances and medical records
* Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
* Assist with wheel chair transport
Qualifications / Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalency is required
* PCT certification is recommended
* One year patient care experience preferable in a clinical setting
* Must be mobile; walking, sitting, standing, bending and stretching
* Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned
