Patient Care Technician - Healthcare Express : Job Details

We even have monthly themed dress-up days to keep the fun going!Responsibilities:- Assist patients to exam rooms- Obtain and document vital signs- Record patient histories and chief complaints in the computer system- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including positioning, draping, shaving, and disinfecting treatment sites- Assist with exams, perform visual acuities, and support invasive procedures- Place leads and perform EKGs- Conduct ear lavages, remove sutures or staples from superficial wounds- Apply basic dressings- Collect and label urine and stool specimens- Draw blood and obtain other specimens as ordered by the provider- Run all lab work- Apply splints- Collect and sterilize supplies, rooms, and equipment- Prepare abscess and laceration trays, and supplies for pelvic exams- Measure for crutches and provide crutch teaching- Remain flexible for cross-training and occasionally take on tasks outside the normal scope of practice- Observe, identify, and address needs to move the organization forward- Perform other duties as needed to support our vision, mission, and valuesPosition Details:Type: Full-timeHours: 12-hour shifts, rotating weekendsSalary: $13 & up/hour, depending on experienceBenefits: Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Benefit Time Off, & Bereavement LeaveQualifications:- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment- Strong multitasking and attention to detail- Patience and a caring heart- Comfortable using computers- Excellent customer service skills- Ability to be thorough, courteous, and prioritize tasks- Commitment to maintaining confidentialityWhy Join Us?If you are ready to join a dynamic family that values fun and innovative thinking, we encourage you to apply!
