Patient Care Technician - Tower Health : Job Details

Job Summary* Responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.* Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient.* Perform observations of patients and reports changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.* Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).* Assist in all aspects of daily living activities for the patients, including, but not limited to general hygiene of the patient, changings, light housekeeping, and patient vitals.Available Units:ICU:Pottstown Hospital has more than 40,000 patient visits annually and is the 2nd busiest hospital in Montgomery County. We are the designated stroke hospital with a TPA administration within 45 minutes of arrival. With an 18 Bed ICU we have an average daily census of 8 patients. The Pottstown ICU has prodomonitally all medical cases, but does not have cardiac or trauma. Our ICU has a critical care specialist onsite 24/7 to help with any of your questions.
