A patient care technician also known as a medical office assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical services in a clinic or medical provider office setting that supports direct patient care (medical care) activities. Child Advocacy Center High School Diploma or GED Required Completion with certification of a medical assistant training program. Experience in and completion of an extern-ship in the course of study for medical office assistant certification. Completion of or eligibility for certification for English-Spanish-English language interpretation (translation).
