The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs and assists with activities of daily living and certain treatments for patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, following established policies and procedures.

• Supports nursing standards and policies, and provides for the age-specific needs of the population served
• Provides emergency care and ensures a safe environment for patients
• Demonstrates professionalism and excellent customer service
• Performs other duties as assigned

Certifications and Licenses: - BLS: Basic Life Support, required within 1 month of hire - CENA: Certified Educated Nurse Aide

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience, Training, and Skills: - Knowledge of medical terminology - Interpersonal skills to communicate successfully with individuals and groups - Competency in Microsoft Windows

Physical/Mental Requirements and Typical Working Conditions: - Exposure to stressful situations, trauma, and death - Able to wear personal protective equipment - Overall vision and hearing required - Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently
