Job Summary

Geisinger is excited to provide opportunities for Patient Care Technicians with a starting pay of $18.94 per hour, plus increased rates for experienced candidates and up to $3 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts! Additionally, we offer up to $40,000 in financial assistance for those aspiring to become nurses!

As part of our new ACE Nursing Model of Care at our Advanced Acute Care Units in Danville, Pennsylvania, you will play a vital role in enhancing patient care and improving your skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitating Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as hygiene, toileting, mobility, and meals.
• Conducting vital signs monitoring and point of care testing.
• Turning and repositioning patients, as well as daily weight checks.
• Ensuring equipment checks and exchanges are performed smoothly.

About the Role:

As a Patient Care Technician, you will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses, managing a variety of advanced patient care duties consistent with our organizational policies. Your role will include:

• Providing enhanced patient care under the direction of nursing staff, including advanced dressing care and specimen collection.
• Documenting patient care accurately to maintain complete medical records.
• Assisting patients with their daily needs, including hygiene and linen changes.
• Participating in clerical duties for admissions, transfers, discharges, and more.
• Engaging in training and mentoring new staff and students.

Work Schedule:

We are hiring for all shifts, including straight days and nights, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. No experience is needed, as we provide thorough on-the-job training!

Qualifications:
