Position Name: Patient Care Technician (PCT) Location: Mesa, AZ - 85210 Employment Type: Direct-Hire & Permanent Setting: Behavioral Health & Substance Abuse Facility Pay $16-$20 (depending on experience) + shift differential Sign-On Bonus $500 Shift - Must be open and flexible - Mostly nights and weekends , some days - Several shifts available on different days - Block scheduling: 3x12s - 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am Shift Differentials: - Weeknight Shift Differential (Mon-Thurs): 10% - Weekend Day Shift Differential (Sat, Sun): $1.00 more per hour - Weekend Night Shift Differential (Fri, Sat, Sun): $2.00 more per hour Job Summary As the PCT, you will be a part of a multidisciplinary team that works together providing care to patients in a Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Facility. The PCT is under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The PCT is tasked with ensuring unit safety, which involves identifying both environmental and patient-specific safety concerns and escalating them to the RN, RN Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, or designated individual when necessary. Qualifications Required - 1 of these, the most applicable to the candidate: - No Behavioral Health Degree: have at least 4 years experience working in a Behavioral Health setting with patients with substance abuse or who are mentally ill in one of these roles or similar: Patient Care Technician (PCT), Behavioral Health Tech (BHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), etc. - Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health or Similar: 1 year of experience working with substance abuse/mentally ill patients. - Associate's Degree in Behavioral Health or Similar: 2 years of experience working with substance abuse/mentally ill patients. - LPN: 2 years of experience working with substance abuse/mentally ill patients. Additional Requirements: - Clean background. - Comfortable using restraints. - Be flexible with the night shift and overall shift availability. - Passion for helping people with substance abuse and mental health populations. - BLS (can be obtained while onboarding). Preferred: - Experience with Title 36 (Court-Ordered Mental Health Proceedings) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) holds. - Experience with restraints. - Nursing experience (i.e. LPN).
