General Summary: Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort and safety of patient The Patient Care Tech/Unit Secretary position in the NICU also performs tasks related to receiving, preparing and delivering infant feedings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian and according to established procedures. Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Care Tech Unit Secretary
• Location: Elmhurst, IL
• Full Time 36 hours
• Hours: Days 7 am 3:30 pm , rotating weekends and some holidays

What you will need: Education, Experience and/or Skills Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions
• Proficient communication skills
• Attend in depth orientation regarding patient care skills tasks

Additional NICU Specific:

• Attends patient care skills tasks related to preparing and delivering infant feedings
• Strong math skills for preparing and delivering infant feedings

Education, Experience and/or Skills Preferred: NICU Specific:

• Previous experience in a Milk Tech role or a Registered Dietary Tech role

License/Certification Required:

• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association

License/Certification Preferred:

• Certificate from an accredited nursing assistant training course (CNA); or minimum six months previous patient care experience or equivalent; or completion of one nursing clinical rotation

NICU Specific:

• Current Food Handler Course Certificate of Completion
