Patient Discharge Coordinator
Hours: Monday-Friday with rotating weekends
Pay rate: $22
Responsibilities:
Support the discharge team by obtaining medical records, acquiring prior authorizations
Go through rounds with the physicians, assist in coordinating care and orders after discharge
Offer friendly, courteous assistance to every patient to ensure that the patient has a positive, professional experience while at Johns Hopkins
Expedite use of automated scheduling, registration and billing systems
Qualifications:
Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent required
Three years of previous experience in a healthcare
Experience working directly with the physician
Experience with insurance and prior authorization
Experience with patient discharge
Inpatient experience
Familiar with medical terminology, calendar management
Proficient on the appropriate computer systems such as EPIC , SAP, Thruput/bed board
