ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.Position SummaryThe Patient Escorter-Transporter II is an integral member of the patient care team. Transporter II's are responsible for ensuring the provision of quality patient care and safety during transport of patients through utilization of safety devices and close observation. During the transport of cardiac monitored patients, he/she will ensure safe patient monitoring during transport and trouble shoot cardiac monitors' alarms, parameters and equipment. The Patient Escorter-Transporter II will transport lab specimens and medications that are needed to appropriate units/departments. He/she will demonstrate knowledge of appropriate technology systems and have basic computer skills.
