Aspirus Iron River Hospital in Iron River, MI is seeking a SUPERVISOR- PATIENT EXPERIENCE to join our team! The Supervisor- Patient Experience acts as the liaison between the patient/family/provider/customer and the Hospital, assists in facilitating the Hospital's patient complaint and grievance resolution and other patient advocacy efforts. Assumes responsibility for planning, coordinating, and conducting patient experience staff development initiatives, including maintaining, coordinating, and improving existing patient experience initiatives. This person is responsible for patient satisfaction data collection and dissemination and coordinating patient experience improvement efforts. This position includes direct supervision of the Patient Guides. HOURS: Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period. Day Shift. TRAVEL TO AKH, AIR, AIW REQUIRED Experience/Qualifications
  • Preferred: Associates Degree or Bachelor's degree in social work, communications, or other related field
  • Three years of previous work experience in a health care setting is required.
  • Knowledge of procedures for maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family and other medical information.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communications skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Must be proficient in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Basic computer operations skills (keyboard and mouse use, Internet browser use, opening and closing programs).
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of customers including patients, family, physicians and hospital staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and teach individuals and groups.
  • Ability to identify problems, resolve conflict and administer appropriate service recovery.
  • Organize multiple activities, set priorities, adjust to frequently changing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Conduct meetings effectively.

Aspirus Iron River Hospital & Clinics is one of four hospitals in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the Aspirus family. With 300+ employees, Aspirus Iron River Hospital and Clinics serves people through a 25-bed hospital, physician clinics, dialysis center, rehab fitness center, ambulance service, and home care and hospice. The outpatient part of this practice is located in a stand-alone clinic. This allows the provider to work independently yet have the specialist support and financial security from the entire Aspirus health care system. The critical access hospital has an average daily census of 9-10 patients. The hospital and clinics provide numerous services and has up to date technology, including 64 slice CT and a mobile MRI. The medical staff includes family practitioners, internal medicine, general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, radiologist, emergency medicine physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.
