Together, we keep getting better - advancing our mission to transform healthcare and serve as a leader of positive change.ResponsibilitiesA day in the life of a Patient Observer at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:Responsible for the safety of the Patients under the direction of the Registered NurseMust be able to work in situations with isolation precautionsProvide a safe environment for patients who are on One to One Supervision for Suicide Precautions, Behavioral Restraints, Line of Sight or Patient SafetyProvide frequent checks on patients that have a Patient Watch OrderProvide direction to patient to ensure that they do not fall or wander offRecord and Document patient behaviorMust be able to travel with patient when neededQualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required prior to performing patient observation.
