Job Description: Patient Recruitment Coordinator

Company history: Brooklyn Clinical Research was founded to increase access to clinical trials for underrepresented populations. Clinical-trial enrollment should accurately represent the broader population. To support this objective, we establish clinical research sites in densely populated metropolitan areas with diverse populations. In meeting this objective, we help improve therapeutic efficacy and safety for all individuals.
The Patient Recruitment Coordinator (“PRC”) plays a crucial role in our mission by promptly connecting with potential trial participants and acting as the initial facilitator of participant interactions. Your responsibility is to engage with individuals expressing interest through our social media channels, ensuring they are informed, screened, and scheduled for participation in our clinical studies. This position demands a high level of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to act with urgency in a time-sensitive environment.
Medical terminology experience is preferred but not required. Sales proficiency is required. Compensation for this role is a base salary plus a performance bonus paid monthly.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Promptly call all inbound inquiries and conduct initial participant phone screenings and build rapport with leads to promote study enrollment.
· Engage with potential participants to schedule on-site screening visits, guiding them through the scheduling process and answering preliminary questions about clinical trial participation.
· Diligently update all prospective-participant records to ensure accuracy of our participant database.
· Provide clear information to participants about study procedures and commitments.
· Follow-up with scheduled participants to re-confirm interest and eligibility requirements.
· Work collaboratively with site management to refine recruitment strategies and actively participate in community outreach efforts.
· Complete all relevant training prior to study start.
· Provide effective feedback to our advertising consultants by helping to track lead quality and conversion.
· Provide feedback to our management team on questionnaires for initial participant phone screenings.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Experience:
• 1-2 years' experience and successful track record in a sales or customer-facing role.
• Medical terminology experience preferred but not required.
• CRM experience with a platform such as HubSpot.
• Clinical research experience is a plus but not required.
• CTMS database experience is a plus but not required.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Must have excellent customer-service skills and be very comfortable with sales.
• Must be goals-driven while continuously maintaining quality.
• Must be a detail-oriented and proactive self-starter.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with medical terminology and pharmaceutical drugs is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
