Job Requisition: REQ3273Employment Type: Full-TimeShift: DaysHours Per Week: 40 hoursLocation: Canjoharie Family Health CenterHiring Range : $18.74-$25.07The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.Responsibilities:- Greets patients and visitors, responds to questions/concerns and directs them to approproate location. Provides on-going communication with clinical staff regarding patient status- Collects and enters all necessary demographic, clinical, billing and insurance from patients or responsible parties.- Explains processes and forms to patients prior to securing signatures and ensures that all documents are properly signed and witnessed as required- Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles.- Ensures promotion of an exceptional experience by ensuring prompt, courteous service and adherence to SMH core behaviors.- Reviews scripts for accuracy: Ensures accurate coding- Follows all procedures relating to registration including notification of patient admission, medical necessity, checking and scanning of physician prescriptions- Conducts patient interviews with compasson and confidentiality.Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.Complexity of Work: - Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.Personal Protective Equipment: - Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Education: - High School Diploma/GED required - Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
