This position will work with a variety of customer types and represents the clinic at various community meetings.What you need to knowSalary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire's experience.Cover Letter/Resume: A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended.Required Education and Experience:* Associates degree or equivalent combination of training and experience* Three years of relevant experienceRequired Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others* Excellent customer service skills* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a variety of customers* Handles protected health information (PHI) as defined by HIPAAResponsibilities:Patient Correspondence* Corresponds with patients regarding insurance issues (i.e. COBs, PCPs, Out-of-Network) and financial matters.Billing Office Liaison* Work with billing office on denied claims due to insurance and registration issues.Financial Assistance Coordinator* Process patient applications for financial assistance and refer to area services and programs for social assistance as needed.Monitor QI Programs* Monitors and maintains quality incentive programs.Address Patient Concerns* Listens, records, researches and resolves patient concerns and complaints. Prepares narratives detailing patient complaints and works with student, faculty and staff to provide solutions. Collects, maintains and tracks patient complaints.Clinic Representative* Represent the clinic at meetings with various community programs and services that we can refer patients to.
