Job Description :

A Patient Relations Specialist is needed to act as the primary contact for client relations, with a focus on understanding and addressing each client's unique cultural and demographic needs. This role emphasizes a client-first approach to ensure clients feel respected, valued, and satisfied. The Patient Relations Specialist will work to foster effective communication between clients and coordinators, proactively address concerns, and enhance overall service delivery. Homecare experience is required for this role. Responsibilities Include:

  • Client-Centered Service: Provide prompt, respectful assistance to clients, ensuring a positive experience and addressing concerns professionally and calmly.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Adapt communication and services to align with each client's unique cultural and demographic preferences.
  • Preventative Measures: Implement strategies to identify and address potential concerns early, aiming to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve client issues empathetically, striving to exceed client expectations and maintain a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Communication Liaison: Serve as a bridge between clients and coordinators to foster mutual understanding and offer feedback to improve service.
  • Feedback Management: Collect and analyze client feedback to identify improvement areas, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with coordinators, HR, and clinical staff to ensure cohesive service delivery and meet client needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, issues, and resolutions for accountability and continuous improvement.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in patient relations, customer service, or a similar role, ideally in a Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA).
  • Strong cultural competence and understanding of diverse client needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client-first service.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and facilitate communication between clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in HHAeXchange is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
