Shift: DayWorking Hours: 8a-430PSummary:The Patient Safety Officer (PSO) is responsible for forward facing initiatives around Patient Safety andorganizational quality. The PSO acts as the subject matter expert in high reliability by reviewing process design toensure the principles of high reliability will be incorporated into daily operations. This position conducts proactiveand reactive risk assessments and analyses to include Root Cause Analysis, Apparent Cause Analysis, Failure ModeEffects Analysis, and Common Cause Analysis. The PSO is dedicated to leading and supporting quality and safetyperformance improvement initiatives through an interprofessional environment with administrative leadershipand frontline staff in our efforts to achieve zero harm.Other information:•Knowledge/Skills:•Must have clinical knowledge to conduct thorough investigations of patient safety events.•Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and ability to analyze clinical data.•Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact); Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking);•Analytical; Mathematics; Medical Terms; Research; Statistical; P.C•Professional Licensing Requirements:•Active Clinical (RN, APN/PA, MD, RT, PharmD, etc) License: Current Arkansas practicing license ingood standing, Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.•Preferred Additional Certifications:•Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) and/or•Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and/or•Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality•Experience:•Three to five years clinical practice experience preferredThis job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
