Job Summary: Responsible and accountable for planning, implementing and managing performance improvement processes related to patient safety processes and quality initiatives hospital wide. Manages the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of the organization's overall performance improvement activities. The Patient Safety Officer serves as a resource for clinical Risk Management issues. Works in a collaborative manner with all staff.
Qualifications
* Degreed from an accredited college or Nursing Program (Registered Nurse license required).
* Master's Degree in Nursing or other Health Sciences preferred.
* Five years of clinical experience in a psychiatric facility or similar environment.
* Two years of experience in conducting clinical chart audits, analyzing results and developing action plans required.
