Patient Safety Technician-Full-time Nights - Northwestern Medicine : Job Details

The Patient Safety Technicianreflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. RESPONSIBILITIES:Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member. Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient in cases of patients agitation or confusion. Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and patient's environment, and reports as appropriate. May assist patient with performing activities of daily living, as delegated by supervising RN, including ambulating, toileting, assisting with bed making, positioning. Provides continuous safety observation via continuous video monitoring, of patients identified to be at risk for causing injury to themselves or to others.
