Full-Time; FTE 1.0

Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm

Moline, IL

The Scheduler position provides support to the clinical field staff by means of assisting with the registration and scheduling of patient visits based on wide variety of treatment needs. Scheduling staff manage self-referals over the phone from patients as well as manage internal and external referrals that present by phone, fax or electronic work queues. Associated responsibilitites are the foundation of all clinic flow and productivity which requires staff to be efficient and highly accurate.

  • Supportive communication with clients to schedule their visits and verify registration information.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and clarifying questions to help determine scheduling needs
  • Understand and effectively scheduling requirements for both Mental heath and Substance Related treatment at 10(+) locations in both Iowa and Illinoise
  • Coordinating patients initial visits within company policy for timely initiation of care by managing multiple Epic workqueues.
  • Schedule with appropriate clinician for all services based on service line requirements, funding, age, modality and other criteria.
  • Requests consultation for clients that includes providers, social workers, and nursing staff when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Associate degree in business, health administration, related field, or equivalent experience.

All staff are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate manager. In addition, staff are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job-related skills and abilities. All staff must attend mandatory educational programs.

Bachelor degree in business, health administration, or related field.

Experience:

2 years of Scheduling or Customer Service Experience.

Basic knowledge of computer applications including experience with Microsoft Office software applications-Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe.

Previous health care and experience utilizing electronic medical records.

Typing ability of 50 wpm and kph.

License(s)/Certification(s):

Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
