Patient Service Rep - Clinic - Community Healthcare System of Northwest Indiana : Job Details

Under the general supervision of the Patient Services Supervisor, interacts daily with patients, insurance carriers, and staff members; provides information in response to inquiries; assists in resolving problems regarding services, insurance claims, and billing questions. Education/ Experience Requirements: High School graduate (or GED equivalent) 1 year prior medical office registration or billing experience required; physician practice setting preferred Possess general understanding of medical terminology and CPT/ ICD-10 coding Comprehend government and third part billing regulations Display proficient use of Microsoft office applications, able perform internet navigation and use a variety of information systems to conduct tasks Able to operate general office equipment, including but not limited to: adding, facsimile, photocopy, printing, and scanning devices Demonstrate empathetic and effective communication and problem solving skills Able to handle complaints and unpleasant conver...Clinic, Patient Services, Patient, Service, Healthcare
