The hospital continues to elevate the services provided with the goal of increasing the quality of life for all who entrust St. John's Riverside Hospital to their care.Personalized care together with advanced technology is what it means to be Community StrongResponsibilitiesResponsible for greeting incoming patients in a friendly and professional manner, instructing patients on how to complete paperwork, obtain complete and accurate information from the patient for billing and demographics purposes, update patient demographics and Insurance information as needed, all incoming calls to be answered in a friendly and professional manner before the third Ring, provide accurate information to the caller in a customer oriented manner, calls must be routed to the intended recipient in a timely and accurate manner, completes administrative duties that ensure the patient's visit is smooth, billing can be processed accurately, and front office remains clutter free and organized. Co pays are to be collected at the time of visit and in accordance with patient insurance guidelines. Verification of eligibility must be done for every visit, and referrals for patients as requested. All tests needing authorization must be processed with all of the appropriate paperwork to the appropriate designee. Confirms appointments for the next day and patient charts should either be created if it is a first time visitor or located if a return visit.QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalency required; college preferred. Knowledgeable in medical health insurances. Basic medical terminology and computer knowledge. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Must have experience with a high volume call center. Minimum 2 years of registration experience within a medical setting (doctor's office, hospital). Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Must work with a sense of urgency. Strong MS Office (Word, Excel) as well as medical database experience required. Must have valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel throughout Westchester County for business purposes.
