Patient Services Representative [Mobile Unit]:Base Pay Rate: $21-$23/hourAbout We Care Daily Clinics:We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a warm, welcoming, and modern facility that provides treatment for addiction in a person-centered environment located in Auburn. WCDC seeks to renew hope and purpose for those battling opioid use by removing barriers, providing a holistic approach to recovery, and utilizing evidence-based treatment to restore healthy living. Our top priority is to provide the highest levels of patient-centered care to those we serve.WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program facility using FDA approved medication paired with behavioral health counseling. Our individual service plans are built around patients in a supportive, safe environment to create a personalized pathway to recovery. In addition to recovery, we also offer planned patient transportation and family and social support.WCDC's first two mobile clinics launched October 2022 in Seattle and Tacoma. The mobile clinics offer the same evidence-based, quality treatment that is available at the Auburn clinic, including medication for opioid use disorder, behavioral health counseling, peer support, transportation, telehealth, and referral services. A third mobile unit will be launched later this year in the SODO district.Job Description:The Patient Services Representative (PSR) provides the first impression of the clinic to the public and is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and functioning front desk. Performs multiple office functions, including reception (greeting and welcoming clients and members of the public), answering multi-phone lines, medical record-keeping, computer-related tasks, and other administrative duties. The Patient Services Representative will report directly to the PSR Supervisor.The Patient Services Representative should adhere to and value the philosophical priorities of the HARM Reduction Model, that Medication Assisted Treatment is the preferred method of addressing opioid addiction, and that every patient deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity.Responsibilities:* Greet clients, visitors, and vendors* Answer phones* Page medical providers and counselors* Facilitate patient flow* Answer inquiries from patients and the public* Conflict resolution with clients* Monitor patient behavior and activity; collaborate with the Safety Officer as needed* Regular interaction with a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds* Regularly use the agency's electronic medical records system to schedule appointments, provide schedule reminders to patients, indicate patient attendance* Collect patient fees* Take and upload patient photos into the electronic medical record* Copy forms and documents as needed* Route incoming mail and faxes* Maintain the patient waiting areas to ensure cleanliness and adequate supply stock* Maintain regular communication and attend meetings as requested* Complies with other ad hoc requests and projects as assigned* Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures* Interacts with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the company's mission and Best Practice Patient Experience* Available for coverage as needed during extended hours, including nights and weekends* Other duties as assignedPosition Requirements:Education:* High school diploma or equivalent required.* Associate's or higher degree preferred.Experience:* At least two years of experience in reception or a position providing customer service, preferably in a medical or mental health setting.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job:A majority of the work shift is sitting at a desk in front of a computer. Will spend some time on feet while filing, making photocopies or standing to greet a visitor. Should have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. as may be responsible for moving office supplies or carrying heavy files or boxes of paper.Additional:* The nature of this position is fast-paced in high-stress situations and conditions* Opioid Treatment Program experience will be given hiring preference* Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic medical records systems, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and outside contacts from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds; good diplomatic skills, including strong conflict-resolution skills* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills* Excellent organizational and time management skills* Conducts all business activities in a professional and ethical manner* No history of alcohol or other drug misuse for 3 years prior to employment and does not display evidence of alcohol or other drugs while employed as the Patient Service Rep* Must be able to pass required background checks* Complies with and up-to-date with all other testing, screening, and credentialing as required* Ability to travel as needed (minimal)Characteristics of a We Care Daily Clinics Employee:If you are:* Patient-Centered - Seeks to understand and effectively address the needs and challenges of our patients.* Quality focused - Focused on providing quality, evidence-based care to our patients.
