Responsibilities:

Greet and respond to limited inquiries from patients and customers via telephone and in person. Perform a variety of clerical functions and drive mobile unit.

Drive Mobile Unit to event sites, ensure proper and safe set-up, break-down and storage of mobile unit and related equipment such as

computer equipment, canopies, tables and chairs Complete and submit vehicle inspection reports weekly ensuring regular maintenance is performed and any mechanical issues are

addressed immediately Greet patients in a professional manner Answer incoming telephone calls within 3 rings; transfer calls in a timely and appropriate manner Verify insurance eligibility and copy insurance cards Work closely with other clinic staff to ensure patients are being seen in a timely manner Perform financial and eligibility screening for clinic programs Print daily schedule and confirm next days appointments

Qualifications:

Minimum

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year experience in a medical or dental office
  • Experience in verifying insurance/program eligibility
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • CPR Certification (including BLS Child, Infant, Adult with one-time hands-on skills training

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Dental Records systems, NextGen preferred
  • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner
  • Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Ability to type minimum 35 WPM

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred
  • Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products, business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities
