The Patient Services Specialist (PSS) is responsible for welcoming and directing patients, answering, screening, routing phone calls, and checking patients in and out. The PSS will also be responsible for collecting co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Job Specific:Greet patients. (EF)Promptly answer and direct all incoming phone calls to the appropriate area. (EF)Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently. (EF)Verify and update all patient demographics. Obtain, confirm, and enter patient insurance information. Schedule patients according to clinic protocol and guidelines. (EF)Prepare charts and print encounter tickets prior to patient visit. (EF)Confirm appointments and document responses in EMR. (EF)Receive and upload laboratory, imaging, and other procedural results into the patients e-chart. Collect outstanding balances, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles. (EF)Reconcile the cash drawer as per CMP Business Office guidelines.
