This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. General Summary of Duties: Under general supervision, the Patient Services Specialist is responsible for handling a variety of administrative duties to facilitate the efficient flow of patients at a clinical office while ensuring a positive patient experience by demonstrating quality customer service skills. Duties and Responsibilities:
Greets parents/patients arriving for appointments.Assists parents with the completion of paperwork for new patients and newborns.Verifies insurance for patient appointments.Checks the Kiosk daily to ensure proper functioning.Assists parents/patients with check in via the Kiosk and monitoring time usage to ensure timely patient flow.Monitors incoming faxes and processes and/or distributes as deemed appropriate. Faxes documents as required.Checks patient schedules daily to ensure accuracy and that necessary paperwork is present.Performs Gaps-in-Care communications with parents/patients. Answers patient questions and concerns. Scans documents into eClinical. Assists parents/patients picking up shot records, school excuses, and other paperwork. Receives, sorts and distributes mail.Performs related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
