Job Overview:The Patient Sitter is responsible for sitting at the bedside to assure the safety of the patient who is disoriented, confused and or is a Baker Act. In addition, the sitter is responsible for alerting the Nursing Staff to any patient care needs. Sitters will not be asked to perform any patient care tasks, unless it is within his job description. Other duties as assigned.General Responsibilities:
- Monitors patient.
- Alerts Nursing Staff to patient care needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Prior direct patient care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Asistant Certification preferred.
- Commmunication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer services skills required.
