Your role will involve providing a safe and supportive environment, ensuring continuous observation, and maintaining direct communication with nursing staff to relay important information about patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating a comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients
- Redirecting impulsive behavior and calling for assistance when necessary
- Accompanying patients to clinical tests, procedures, or appointments
- Engaging patients in conversation to help keep them focused
- Assisting with meals, when applicable, as well as with hygiene and comfort needs
- Activating safety alarms when required and assisting staff in patient mobility
Additional Details:
This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week during the day and evening, with a schedule of 7am-7:30pm for three 12-hour shifts weekly, including every other weekend and holiday rotation. Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with obtaining Basic Life Support Certification within six months of hire.
