SUMMARY STATEMENT & PURPOSE: This position transports patients between pre and post op and operating rooms. This position is also involved in monitoring and organizing the environment and supplies to ensure patient safety and quality of care. This position functions within the RCW 18.360.050 scope of practice law.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: 1. Performs patient transport.2. Performs opening and closing duties.3. Practices standard precautions.4. Empties trash and recycles cardboard daily from SESC.5. Unpacks and stocks received shipments.6. Launders scrubs. Cleans dryer vent frequently.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) from the State of Washington within 60 days of employment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn other software programs as needed.
- Must be at least 18 and have a High School or General Education diploma (GED).
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Patient Transport experience.
