Patient Transporter - Radiology - The Tampa General Hospital Foundation : Job Details

The Imaging Patient Transporter provides outstanding customer service to patients, providers and clinical teams with the primary task of transporting patients throughout the facility to ensure timely imaging services are provided. In addition to adhering to all policies and Standards of Behavior, the following job duties are performed:* Presents a professional, welcoming, supportive, and calm demeanor during all aspects of interactions with customers* Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills, effectively articulating key information to all customers and care teams in terms they understand* Assists patients into wheelchairs, stretchers or hospital beds as needed* Transports patients to / from the imaging department to various locations in the hospital while ensuring their comfort and safety* Monitors the transport request system and completes requests promptly* Proactively identifies solutions for issues that hinder service deliver and works collaboratively with all necessary parties to ensure optimal resolution* Provides accurate information and directions to customers as needed* Proactively fosters and supports a culture of team work and collaboration* Proactively participates in department problem solving and team meetings.Performs other administrative duties & tasks as assigned.Education: High School graduate or GED preferredExperience: 1 year relevant experience preferredLicensure / Certification: BLS before hire by ARC or AHA
