- This position guarantees two salary raises within your first year as long as your performance is in good standing!
- Annual salary range increases:
- Effective July 1, 2025, the salary schedule for positions in the bargaining unit shall be increased by four percent (4%).
The County will pay a retention bonus to employees based on the chart below:Payable on June 30, 2024, paycheck $1,500* Payable on June 30, 2025, paycheck $2,000* Payable on June 30, 2026, paycheck $2,500**To be eligible for the retention bonuses, the employee must have been employed at the beginning of the fiscal year (July 1) in which the payment is made. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid State issued Driver's License with good driving record.
- 21 years of age at time of hire.
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred).
- US Citizen.
- Complete the ORPAT during hiring process and during Academy.
- Successfully pass a background investigation, psychological examination, and medical evaluation before being hired.
- DPSST Basic Law Enforcement Certification - within 18 months of employment.
- LEDS Certification required within 6 months of hiring.
- First Aid and CPR Certifications within 60 days of hiring.
All qualified candidates must complete the POST written test with a 70% or higher overall score and the ORPAT (Oregon Physical Abilities Test). You may submit previously earned test results (within 1 year for both the ORPAT and the written test).No experience necessary; we will train. Preference will go towards lateral applicants who are currently Law Enforcement Certified and in good standing with their current/most recent agency.
