**Responsibilities**

The Payment Posting Specialist will be primarily responsible for posting patient and third-party payments and contractual. The specialist will be required to research patient accounts on the Business Office System (Epic) with an understanding of payment, allowance, write-off and EDI (835) transactions. The incumbent will need to be able to interpret EOB's and R/A's and comprehend coordination of benefits. This position requires excellent organizational. Mathematical and analytical skills to insure accurate, efficient revenue reporting for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. This position requires a candidate who demonstrates a positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills. The incumbent should be professional in both appearance and approach. All Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Business Office staff is expected to comply with company policies and procedures.

**Location: Pearland Administrative Office**

**Department:** **Bus Ofc - Pmt Posting/Filing**

**Job Type: Full Time**

**Salary Range: $** **35,240 - $43,535 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)**

**Qualifications**

**Education**

Required: High school or GED

Preferred: Some college or certified medical business office training

**Experience**

Required: 2 years business office experience.

1-year coordination of benefits & EOB/RA interpretations.

Total 3 years' experience

Preferred: 3 years business office experience

**License(s)**

Required: N/A

Preferred: N/A

**Special Skills**

Required: 10 key/data entry and analytical skills.

Requires 7000 kph with an error rate of 1 to 5%.

Preferred: Knowledge of business office patient accounting system (Epic).

Knowledge of EDI (835) Transmissions.

**Other**

Required: Basic CPT, ICD-9coding knowledge.

Preferred: N/A

**Working Environment:** Office
